Week's training in Verbier is done

What glorious weather we had in Verbier last week!  It makes training a lot more enjoyable, when you take the chocolate box picture postcard quality of the Swiss Alps.  The walking can be quite challenging because of the altitude and steepness of some climbs, but the scenery is a distraction and the restaurant meals a reward for all that hard work!

Chez Dany enjoying the "spare rips" and ice cream.

Le Sonalon having a steak frites and more ice cream!

Walking with Annabel Dearlove to Champex-Lac

It's a lot steeper than it looks.

Finally with total climb of 2000.5m (the GPS adds up all the ascents), a distance of just 8.21 km (mostly uphill, we skipped going back downhill since that's not as much fun) over 2:46 hours when the estimated time was 3:20. I wasn't tired but I really felt it in the legs, it was quite steep. We had lunch in the paragliding twins restaurant Ruinettes in Le Chable.

Back in London to go shopping for all the kit needed for the Camino.  The weather here is also wonderful (have I become local, obsessing continuously about the weather?!)
