Where Three Glaciers Converge at Los Glaciares National Park Patagonia

A bit icy! At the lagoon where three glaciers converge.

Today we drove from the Eolo lodge then rode zodiacs to the start of the trek, which was at the south end of Lake Argentina.  The total trek length was 20 km with a few ups and downs but nothing too extreme. Again, luck was on our side, no wind and sunny! What a difference weather makes.

The views of the three glaciers were breathtaking, the river full of floating ice was completely unexpected, as was the wine all ready for us from B & R!

Unfortunately, this trek isn't quite accessible by the public because there are only a couple of Zodiacs (boats) which fit 6 each and B & R, our tour operator has access to these.  We were 6 trekkers with 4 guides. We were alone with the surroundings.

Sedimentary rock with squid.

B & R's packed Malbec awaits us at the glaciers.

A panoramic video of the area.

In addition to this scenery, we were able to witness an avalanche. What a day! Truly, one of the most memorable treks I've ever done.  Stunning.
