Everest Packing List
As of now, I still haven't heard from my team because the telephone and internet services are down in Nepal. Poor people, it's always the countries that experience high levels of poverty which seem to be hit hard by natural calamities and disasters. I hope they are well and Katmandu does not suffer more violent aftershocks which might cause more of the infrastructures to fail.
I also do not know when the airport is going to reopen.
Having said that, I am all set. For those of you who might do this little adventure in the future, here is a proposed packing list. I obviously did not hold back and tried to cover all emergency needs in the mountain knowing I have a sherpa and two porters. I feel comforted by having more than enough kit. This list is a combination of several lists posted by people who made their way up. I would hate to think of all the additional kit you need to summit.
