A Foodie Weekend, Sunny Cornwall Featuring Tim Spedding and CK Rock



Cornwall is a treat when the sun's out and it's warm.  It's Poldark country meets the Med and when you add the additional bonus of a meal cooked by a famous chef, staying in a beautiful house that just so happens to belong to your best mate, then as the English say, Bob's your uncle (you've got it made, by definition).







 Liz invited me to come and stay for a long weekend and sample some of Tim Spedding's wonderful food.  When I arrived the weather was glorious and her property looked amazing in Rock, as you can see in these photos.

Liz and Tim are collaborating on their supper club, to introduce clients to his culinary skills in the picturesque setting of her property.





The dining room was decorated for the dinner by Tim Spedding's partner,  Louise Rødkjær, who also makes after dinner liquers and the water coloured menus. A Dane with many talents. Tim was the sous chef at The Clove Club, The Ledbury and resident chef at P. Franco. They are, at the moment, searching for their own venue in the area.





Foodie, that I am, it was a joy to watch Tim and his team prepare the dinner. It made me realise I do not have the talent, patience, skill or creativity to even come close to preparing one of his courses produced by him and his team. 





It was absolutely delicious! 




And so, after a weekend of sunshine, hikes and a culinary experience to remember,  I hopped on a train to London, very full and happy. You should try it out, too!
